The Hazera seed company (formerly known as Nickerson-Zwaan) has started the first phase of the construction of a new R&D station at Warmenhuizen, in the municipality of Schagen. The new station is being built on a 10-hectare site and will comprise a modern complex of greenhouses, offices, and research laboratories. It is due to be completed in just over two years.
